- That night, she didn't even pretend to have a nightmare before she crawled into bed with me. I was still awake and watching an episode of "Archer," on my TV in my bedroom when she suddenly joined me. I immediately lifted the covers for her and hugged her to me, as she slid against my body with a comfortable sigh. I jokingly asked if she had a monster in her closet (her old excuse to crawl into my bed when we were kids). To which she giggled, hugged herself tighter to me, and replied, "No, I just needed you."
- With this, I kissed the top of her head and began trailing my fingers through her hair comfortingly, as we stayed quiet until we turned off the lights. Once the lights were out and we exchanged our goodnight kisses, we stayed quiet for several minutes, as we cuddled silently. I then felt a small peck on my lips, which I automatically returned, leading to her sighing softly. I didn't think anything about this until she kissed me on the lips again.
- Once again I returned the kiss without conscious thought and asked if she was okay. She immediately replied that she was fine and that she just needed me. I gave her a comforting hug and continued to attempt to soothe whatever was bothering her, as I trailed my fingers through her hair and across her shoulders. I could almost feel her thinking, followed by her placing a lingering kiss on my lips along with me feeling her tongue swipe across them as I automatically returned her kiss.
